* http://www.socalmtb.com/socal/trails/sycamore.htm The ride starts from Pt. Mugu State Park gate at Pacific Coast Highway. Derek and Jason pass the campground and ride along Big Sycamore Canyon FR then climb up Overlook trail. Very nice view of the Pacific Ocean and beach area below. It goes to the junction with "Hell Hill" and Backbone trail. We keep climbing up North Overlook trail to a view point and then to Guadalasca single track down to Wood Canyon trail. We go north to Ranch Center with remains of a previous ranch, then go east climbing to a junction with a single track that goes to a meadow and rocky site. Staying on the single track, we go back to Big Sycamore Canyon FR then to the park gate. Afterwards, we goto Sycamore Cove Beach to look around the beach area.
The Sycamore Canyon (Pt. Mugu State Park) ride of about 20 miles was recorded for about 93 minutes (some time consuming climbing sections were not recorded). Because it was such a sunny day some sections have sun light glaring to the camera lens depending on the angle, but it is not a camera malfunction or permanent.
